If I produce an script, can someone do the production for the advert?
I have asked The Carlisle for a donation (since they won’t be paying for any
bands), because they did indicate that they would originally.
We can’t run a barbecue, but just wondering Tony..... would B&B consider doing
a little sponsorship for the day? I know you are meeting tomorrow and I know we
are stretching their generosity a bit, but wondering if we shouldn’t do some
sort of split with St.Michaels Hospice. Yes, we won’t get so much money, but it
would be something of an incentive for both the bands and a little sponsorship.
Thoughts everyone?

Briefly on that note I have resurrected the old hastings rock laptop.
It's pretty ancient but remarkably still works and I've just brought it
up to date with the latest copy of the music database. So that should
be good to go in short order...
I also like to think that since its an ancient laptop (and looks it)
some oik is less likely to try and nick it if it's left unattended.

Met with Howard Martin yesterday who is running the Rock1066
Festival on May 6th at The Azur. 12 noon until 11pm
Our input in this is DJs for the fill-ins between bands, which will
be around 30 mins at a time. When the bands set up for the evening
we have 1 hour between Eclipse and Coda.
Line-up so far:
*Coda (Led Zep)
*Eclipse (Pink Floyd)
*Vexed
*Black River
*Cushty
Our part in this is........
*Supply DJs for the day – Nick, Me and Tony so far. Can someone
suggest others who may want to be involved but not on
committee?
*Supply computer + Playlist – I can compile playlist but may
need a computer / laptop
*Run an advertisement (frequently) on the pre-broadcast stream
and on the first and second day of the FM broadcast
*Run competitions on the first of broadcast to win tickets. I
have complimentary tickets to give away.
He is going to give us £250 for this and I will put through the
advert system. He is also going to supply a script for us to
produce.
