Hi all,
I just wanted to extend my huge thanks & congratulations to you all on
helping to make Hastings Rock 2020 a reality, after the enormous blow that
the Coronavirus dealt us a couple of months ago.
Because of a tremendous team effort by everyone we have managed to get
Hastings Rock on the air after all (he says hopefully an hour & a half before
we go live), something I must admit I didn't think we'd be able to do at one
point.
It was a close run thing at times and a very steep learning curve, but we got
there.
It just goes to show that if everyone pulls together, puts their heads
together, and are all willing to try things that we may not have considered
in the past, that we can grab the phoenix out of the ashes and bring it back
to life, and in a very short time too. That's no mean feat.
Having seen the initial reaction of the HR listeners, it is obvious that they
are all very appreciative of what we are doing & that we are going to be
bringing them an HR broadcast after all, albeit online.
If nothing else that makes it all worthwhile, as it's those loyal listeners
that are what really matter in the long run, and what we do this for nearly
every year.
We still have a long way to go until midnight on Friday, 29th May, but I
think we should congratulate ourselves, pat ourselves on the back, pour
ourselves a drink, and feel proud of where we've got to so far.
Don't relax just yet, but do enjoy the broadcast, and soak up the great music
for the next 28 days. You deserve it.
And now that we've done this once.....
Cheers & thanks again,
Andy
