Just a thought, would it have been used in the final night at the Carlisle, if
so Phil the bus collected all the gear with Nick in his truck.

I made sure I got it from the 1066 gig at the Azur and it definitely was at the
Carlisle. It was definitely in that little cubicle out of the way for safety as
I last remember it. I collected so much gear after the Fest and I thought I had
it, but I don’t. Just probably overlooked it in the mayhem following the gig. I
will check down there myself because I am convinced it is still down there
unless someone lifted it. Sarah From: Nick Apps Sent: Monday, September 24,

I'm afraid its not there . Chris and Joe the sound man have checked all their
stuff . i don't recall it even been taken to the Carlisle at least not after
the 1066 gig that's the last time i saw it. Nick. From: jon bird Sent:

Programme downloads Thanks Sarah, that sounds all quite likely. Unfortunately
the impression
I took away (wrongly it would seem) is that nobody had the slightest
clue where it had gone/was last seen which just seemed a bit....
careless.
Then of course Nick cheerfully asks if I've got something else we can
loose...

I have a belief that this will turn up and the most likely place is The
Carlisle. It was carted around various functions but was last seen at
The Carlisle. I lost a guitar stand, a kazoo, and a sound lead at the
Fest in May and these have only just turned up having been found there.
I know that it was put in the little sound cubicle (where they store
the Carlisle sound system) to keep it safe during the Fest but I was so
busy that day it was ridiculously hard to keep track of what it was
subsequently used for.... how it was used and where it may have been
stored afterwards.
You can argue that I didn't pick it back up after the Fest, but I had
to keep a track of so much sound equipment and other things on that
day, that I am not surprised it may have been overlooked and simply not
picked up. So, my theory is that it may still be in there.
If you are down the Carlisle Nick, ask Chris if you can have a look
around for it because I have a feeling it may still be there.

Oh dear seems its gone missing , tony d hasent got it either! To be honest, I'm somewhat annoyed that we've just managed to misplace a
really need it for the rock show at end of month.
Jon have you got anything else i could use with oas playout on it and
the latetest data base . can i hook up the drive in my machine
somehow??
piece of kit like this. It's fairly old to be sure and I'd always
expected at some point that half a pint would get upended into it which
is one of the hazards of the job but I did spent a good half a day or so
earlier this year replacing the hard drive, bringing all the music &
database up to scratch, making sure everything worked etc. Even if I did
have something spare knocking around I'm not really sure I want to be
bothered doing that again only for it to get "lost" again.
That aside, I don't have anything else really suitable for the job, at
least not that I'd trust to work reliably. You should still be able to
use your desktop PC, I think it was left last time using the local
database - it should be easy enough to check, the pull the network cable
out the back and fire up Playout. If it works, then you are good to go.

Indeed.. I dropped it off at Sarah's pre broadcast and haven't seen it
since. It definitely didn't come back here with the rest of the kit I
just checked...

All of the recordings from this year's broadcast are now here:
http://www.oasw.co.uk/public/monolith/hrock-bits/programmes/
I'll keep them around for the next few months then they will get
binned.
