Assuming that is correct, the pertinent columns are the last 4 on the
right. The first two *should* align with the number of hours each
presenter has been allocated split across daytime/evening (assume
evening slots start at 7pm) however this very much depends on my
ability to add up....
The final two are where we factor in how much music needs to be
supplied for those hours. Last time around we went for 75% (which
equates to 45 mins worth) but agreed that was too low. The figure you
quoted from Sarah which I think was 16 tracks/hour, assuming 3.5mins
per track worked out at 56mins which then seems a bit too high. However
if she's not factoring out the Robojock hours then it will come out at
that sort of figure. I've therefore gone for a figure of 85% (51 mins)
however we can fiddle around with that...
For the above reason, Robojock assumes 100% music, the 14 hours assumes
a worst case of no requests taken in the slots, hugely unlikely however
we do need to keep some hours back because this acts as a sustaining
service in the event DJs are late starting (we had a couple of those in
May from Simon Veness where he had technical difficulties).
Based on those figures, you then need 7.1 days worth of daytime
playlist and 1.1 days worth of evening playlist to avoid repeats
(basically those figures at the bottom of the sheet).
That hopefully all make sense?
