I had an attempt to make lots of changes to the Hastings Rock facebook page by
Jamie Bourner’s brother who seems to be a bit of a nutter.
Jamie had left him as an admin and having received no answer to my message to
him, removed him and blocked him.
Can you please be aware of idiots on social media in this busy time and act if
something looks weird.
Tony Bell, I have made you a full admin just in case I am not about.

It was only Dawn who had the sole admin rights. She only gave me ‘Editor’
rights.

The page has now ceased being published for all to see, only those with any
admin rights will still be able to see it, so it’s now invisible....
She was a little disappointed but that’s life, but change is normal.....

I reckon, along the lines of (when we get it..) the frequency ..... Methods of
listening in... So people are ready, that one rather requires the stream to be
up, Nick, how are you getting in with the pre broadcast loop thing?
There's always information, perhaps request people send in their memories of
the last 25 years so we can broadcast them during shows.
Re state the dates..... Point them to the website for handy downloadable
desktop wallpaper etc......
Ask people to spread the word.
See if anyone would like to, or knows someone else that would,like to advertise
with us.....

I have started the process of closing down the official Hastings Rock facebook
page and posted our intentions and updated the fans page.
I have suddenly had a huge influx of member requests although many seem to be
people attempting to join other friends. I have declined these.
The security of the fans page does work but I need more moderators because
activity is almost certainly going to increase considerably over the coming
months and I will not be able to keep up with the vetting of posts and member
requests.
Tony (as in Bell)..... I will make you a moderator so you can approve posts and
approve member requests. Be careful of fake profiles and those who are clearly
just bombarding us with their friends who will have no knowledge of themselves
being requested to join.
The rules for posting are quite clear.... it has to be inoffensive and it has
to be Hastings Rock related. Posts that need approval will be visible to
moderators but not the public until you approve them.
Does anybody else want to help out with the moderating?
