And thank you Andy for being a fantastic Captain Picard and steering us through
what must have been a sometimes challenging broadcast for a chairman.
It felt like an amazing success and certainly surpassed all my own expectations.
Totally agree, lets take a two week deep breath and undertake to re-convene
together for a ‘review and refine’ meeting. If not in person with some
(hopefully) new further eased rules, then perhaps on some sort of Zoom meeting.
I have to say I really like the idea of an online broadcast in Hastings Week
and with the real possibility of people being able to get together indoors,
there will be the opportunity for more DJs being involved since they could use
other DJs studios.
And finally, well done us!

Hi all,
Just wanted to send a quick note to thank you all for all of your hard work in
helping to make this year's HR broadcast such a successful one.
You've only got to look at the comments from our loyal listeners to see how
much the broadcast meant to them & how much they appreciated us being there for
them during these trying times.
That's what it's all about, in my humble opinion, and what makes all of our
efforts worthwhile.
You all played your part in getting us 'on air', and helping us to stay there,
so well done everyone.
I must say a huge thank you to Jon Bird, without whom we wouldn't have done
what we did.
To be honest, I had doubts that we'd actually get online at all, let alone
manage to stay there for the full 28 days. But, because of his skill and
dedication we did.
In many ways I think this was one of the most satisfying broadcasts we've ever
done, because of all of the problems and issues we had to overcome to get
through it. I certainly hope HR doesn't have to go through all of that again!
I suggest we take a well earned breather for a couple of weeks, to help collect
our thoughts, before thinking about having a wash up meeting.
With a bit of luck that may well coincide with us being able to meet up as a
group in person.
A Chairman's job is always far easier when everyone plays their part, which was
certainly the case this time around.
