Ford just released their Q3 results, and the only reasons it shows a profit at
all are from an one-time unexplained “tax benefit “ & because they excluded
$3.3 bn in supposedly non-recurring “EBIT special items” that might well recur
as they are forced to scale back their deeply unprofitable international
operations (the Model 3 is destroying their sedan markets in Europe & China).
2019 may well be the last ever GAAP profit year for Dearborn.
