I haven't heard anything about it but it does sound interesting. I am going
to assume it might be an ODBII type thing that logs all the data.

Here’s why.
As EV penetration grows, so does the market for used plug-in vehicles.
Problem: Potential buyers of used EVs want to know about the “health” of
the vehicle’s battery, but today, there’s no real way to confidently assess
it.
Recurrent wants to solve this. Together with researchers from the
University of Washington, they’re developing machine learning algorithms to
predict future battery life and range across all EV models. To do this,
they’re assembling 1000 EV driver volunteers willing to share anonymous
access to their battery range and state of charge data over time in a
variety of weather and driving conditions. It’s automatic, no work on your
end.
A nice bonus: you’ll get monthly individualized battery reports for free.
P.S. Recurrent is only accepting a limited number of participants for now,
