Tesla just disclosed that Gigafactory 3 cost 65% less than the original Model 3
production lines in Fremont. Trial production started last Thursday. Orders for
the standard range made in China M3 are now open, starting from $50K. Batteries
will come initially from LG Chem’s plant in nearby Nanjing, with additional
suppliers likely.
