Good morning, all! It’s today! The virtual solar-powered PEV charging station
tour begins at 10 am – 11:30 am ET. Please register this morning.
I’ve been super curious about solar panels in this EV space. I’m looking
forward to understanding the process, the cost and the management of this
powerful PEV charging tool. Imagine taking this information and passing it
along to other folks at the local, state and regional level… YES!

East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition presents VIRTUAL TOUR: Solar-Powered PEV
Charging in Memphis, TN.
Plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) are growing in use across the state and
country, while solar prices have been dropping for years.
Examples of installations of solar-powered car-charging PEV stations are
growing too, and in this video/webinar we will explore a great example in
Tennessee: the solar-powered canopy for charging PEVs at the Shelby Farms Park
in Memphis, Tennessee.
Representatives of Shelby Farms Park and Memphis Light Gas and Water will be
on-hand to discuss how that station came about, what is costs to plug in there,
what kind of costs they have had to maintain it, and other facets of managing
this excellent example that we should be building more of across Tennessee!
