Knoxville November program will be a presentation on Electric Vehicle

The Technical Society meets the first Monday of each month at the Crowne
Plaza in downtown Knoxville. The lunch buffet starts at 11:30, and the

John Halliwell will speak about electric vehicles with focus on the
charging infrastructure
John Halliwell is team member in the Electric Transportation Group of EPRI
where his focus is smart charging and infrastructure development for plug-in
electric vehicles. He joined EPRI in 2007 and has been active in the
electric transportation space since 2008. John is the current chair of the
SAE J1772 Electric Vehicle Conductive Charge Coupler Task Force and the SAE
AE-7D Aircraft Energy Storage and Charging Committee. He has broad
experience in design and application of electronic circuits and electronic
systems.
Halliwell received Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in
electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
