[mac4theblind] A download Yosemite Question

I just came across a MS Dos Fat32 32GB card that has 32.01 GB available and
17.7GB free. If I remember correctly I need at least 8GB in Mac Extended Jornal
for Yosemite. Is this SD Card Okay if I use Disk Utilities to create a 8GB
Extendeed Mac Journal Partition using OS 10.9.5? I also, have my iMac 2013
model backing up to Time Machine. Is this a good enough backup to erase
everything and do a clean install of Yosemite? I am a totally newbie to doing
this on a iMac.
