If and only if you have a good backup method, you might
do the upgrade and keep your fingers crossed but I really wish I
had had the backup system I have now back in October when I
succumbed to the constant harping and upgraded to catalina. I do
not have a mojave backup so if/when I get this system up and
running again, I still need to get it downgraded to mojave .
Right now, I have added a new issue in that when I try to
reinstall catalina, I must have done something wrong in the
Recovery mode because I was supposed to erase the system in order
to start over and now, the recovery agent complains that I don't
have a complete set of volumes to recover back to.
The recovery application shows Macintosh HD which is the
big drive and then a smaller volume of about 2 GB for MacOS.
As verbose and convoluted as the recovery app is, it
doesn't tell me what's missing. It is classic stupid software
that basically says, "Hey. It's broken. You go figure."
It has very few choices but somewhere, I thought a wrong
choice was just the thing to do.
