You can't knock the guy for trying, though I doubt any audio tutorial that someone charges for would be purchased by many people. With the way things are pirated now, just like with music, there is no money to be made. I considered producing a getting started tutorial for iPhone users who are blind, but decided against it because I don't have the time to dedicate to it that I do for things that actually make me money. That's not to say I don't volunteer my time, because I do in plenty of places, but that's just too big of a project to undertake. It's sad that people who put in hours and hours to professionally produce something can not be paid for their expertise, but that's just the way of digital life. You just have to take reward in the fact that people are using what you've produced and that it's benifiting them.
