What do you mean by terminal password? I would assume it’s the same as your system password? Unfortuantely, if you don’t know the system password, your only alternative is to reset it from the Recovery HD. I don’t think the actual file in the root directory that contains the system PW can be viewed and I wouldn’t go mucking around as a Root user unless I know exactly what I’m doing. Take Care John D.
