I don’t really know the circumstances behind his issues. I am not sure if
it’s a bluetooth or USB Apple keyboard. I am assuming it might be your
Bluetooth issue, but I will pass along everything suggested thus far.
Thanks guys

I had this problem about 8 or more years ago on a previous Mac and I would
have thought it would have been sorted by now if it is the same problem but I
don’t use Boot Camp or any Windows on Mac nowadays so it might still exist as
an issue.
The problem then related specifically to Bluetooth keyboards. The problem
occurred if the Bluetooth keyboard had been paired first with the Mac side of
the machine.
From memory then the solution was to uninstall / remove the Bluetooth
keyboard from the Mac side, restart into Windows, pair it as a device in
Windows and then reboot into the Mac to re-enter the Mac side to re-pair the
keyboard on that side. Then the keyboard would work both on the Mac and boot
camp.
Essentially you had to plug in a wired USB keyboard to achieve all this
anyway.
As I generally found pairing Bluetooth a nightmare given the short time in
which you were given to read and type in the Bluetooth pairing codes with
Voiceover I decided to junk the Bluetooth keyboard and replaced it with a
wired USB version which was no problem at all on either the Mac or Windows
side and was recognised instantly.
This avoided all the palaver of pairing keyboards.

Subject: [mac4theblind] Installing Windows 10 with BootCamp and Apple
keyboards
Hi folks,
I had an email question sent to me from someone who is having an odd issue
installing Windows 10 via BootCamp on their Mac. According to him, his Apple
keyboard doesn’t work during the installation process. He cannot get any keys
to work and has had sighted assistance to verify this problem. Since I have
not done any BootCamp installations, I’m hoping someone out there has an idea
or suggestion to assist.
