Ok, there’s a couple ways you can go if your provider offers this.
You can request a second leased IP so what you would do is have them enable two
DHCP leases per your account then connect your modem to a switch along with
both routers attaching the WAN ports of each router to the switch and the modem
as well. With out two leases only one will work but both can work if there’s a
matching number of leases.
Another way to go is to attach the WAN of the first router to the modem
and the WAN of the second router to the LAN of the first. The advantage here
is two leases aren’t required and it’s super simple. The disadvantage is your
second inside router is double NATing or network address translating so you
might have problems with certain apps like SIP phones or things that need ports
forwarded. This you can test on a trial basis. Let me know if you have any
