No, not really, it’s still a unix filesystem underneath. It would need a valid
mount point in the directory structure. I would have thought when you opened
the iCloud drive it mounted either via NFS or some proprietary protocol under
the mounts directory and you could have then created a sim link to the desktop
much like mounting a network drive.
