That’s what my daughter thought so guess we could try if we need to while the
Air is decripting or whatever that word is.
Thanks john

You would need to pair it to the Mac while the iPhone is not turned on,
unless it's keyboard that can be paired to multiple devices.

Yes John but we couldn’t figure out how to set it up for the MBP because I
have it set up for my iPhone.

Out of curiosity and I don't know if this was asked, Barbara, but do you
have a secondary keyboard, such as a wireless one or even a USB keyboard
you can try on the older system?

Thank you Keith. Unfortunately, I have not changed anything on my MBP for
a very long time and have forgotten so many things, this included, that I
am now writing down in a file.
I guess I won’t be able to find out what voice I am using on my MBP
because the keys are still broken unless I hear it when I follow your
instructions on the Mac Book Air.
Thank you so much.

Barbara,
With the problems you were having with the V O keys on your Mac book I am
sure that it will be a lot easier to sample the voices in voiceover
utilities, vo keys f8. You may need to use the function key at the
bottom left of the keyboard as well as the VO f8 keys. If you already
know all of this please forgive me.
Once you are in the voiceover utility menu, interact with the table and
arrow down to speech. Then tab once to voices tab.
HTH.

Is there a way to find out what voice I have on my MBP so I can get the
same one on the Mac Book Air?
