Finally I received the beast Yesterday afternoon and had planned to do a whole
heap of installations and setup on the computer but plans were changed for the
Afternoon with the simple reception of a phone call so I’m doing it all now at
just after 4 AM on Friday morning in Australia <smile>
First impressions are of a totally remarkable and capable machine that should
be able to easily handle pretty much any task I care to perform.
Perhaps its just imagination, the MacBook Pro seems to out perform my desktop
iMac machines in some areas.
I suppose this is to be expected given the MacBook Pro CPU has 8 cores opposed
to the iMacs with 4.
Anyway browsing with Google Chrome is absolutely fantastic on the MacBook Pro.
Sound is particularly impressive through the MacBook Pro’s internal speaker
system when the MacBook Pro is sitting on a desk or a bench, music and Digital
TV is a joy to listen to. I should think the sound would be degraded somewhat
if one used this machine on a lap.
I absolutely love the Magic keyboard.
I believe people have complaints about the Touch Bar? I have nothing to
complain about thus far.
