[mac4theblind] Taggin in ITunes

Hi to all
I have this strange problem and I think I can name it better this time. I
download podcasts in ITunes. Sometimes long file names which are about 35
charakters long are cut off at the end. When I download the same file with
Juice or other podcatchers I get the whole filename.
Is it true that ITunes still uses an old version of ID3 Tag method which
doesn't allow longer file names for MP3 files? The funny thing is that it
happens not just to MP3 but also to video files from podcasts, saved in the
podcast folder of ITunes.
What annoys me the most is when I get identical named files, which aren't
actually the same. Their content is different, but they're lookking the same
because ITunes cuts off the end after about 35 charakters.
Do you perhaps knwo how I could solve this problem or know a work arround?
Or is it something only on windows versions of ITunes exists?
I'm also searching for an option to let ITunes get the date and time from
the server when downloading podcasts. So I could see when a show was really
made and prevent saving doublicates ... Do you know if this is possible at
all?
