Hi Mary, I use a 12.9 inch iPad Pro with cellular option all the time. I don’t
bother with bluetooth and like the onscreen myself. I have big hands though so
the extra Realestate is appreciated. Battery life is excellent, processing
power is top shelf in the pro, it does work well with both Braille and a
bluetooth keyboard. I use a Zag Flex keyboard from amazon, $11 or so and it’s
the best bluetooth keyboard I’ve used with Apple products hands down.
Experience is much like a laptop in operation. Cellular option is very fast
and you can get one from T-Mobile for a couple hundred bucks down and $30 or so
per month. I would not recommend the otter box case for this as it’s very
heavy and bulky but that’s what I have right now. There is a stand option with
the case that offsets some of the size and weight discomfort. I’d go for it if
the funds allow you to.
Thanks

Hi folks,
I have an iPad mini 2, which has just about become slow enough to drive me
crazy. So I am either going to have to bite the bullet and go for a full-size
iPad or just give up the whole notion of having two Apple devices. I know
that there is someone better keyboard support in iOS 11, which could make it
possible to use an iPad more efficiently as a word processor, since you can
now do things like read the current line and the current word etc. I have
never liked all the extra real estate on the larger iPad. But I do have a
Bluetooth keyboard now that can be connected to more than one device, and I
was messing around this morning with my iPad mini and this keyboard. That's
when the speed thing really got to me. But there are other things I think I
still don't understand, such as how to get from the message list in mail to
the full text of the message and back again efficiently using a Bluetooth
keyboard. What do those of you who use The full sized iPad do with them? Do
you use a Bluetooth keyboard? Have you had much experience with the new drag
and drop and how that works or doesn't work well?
Mary
