Thanks for the call, David.  I was not aware that just pasting the URL into a 
message  with rich text composition would automatically make the URL an active 
link to the recipient of the message.

I feel better now.  <smile>

 I received the "update is ready " message for OSX when I powered on today.  So 
I let it restart to install.  Now I have a major problem.

When I try to "add a link" , it lets me place the url in the field but the OK 
button is dimmed, preventing me from completing the action.

I use this several times per day.  Anyone else have this issue?  Should I try 
to remove the update?
I am not able to live with this defect.

I have closed and reopened Mail.  I have restarted my MAC.
