iOS 8.2 fixes at least one accessibility bug that I’ve been running into since iOS 8 first came out. iOS 8 added a new feature, the ability to set “do not disturb” on a specific text message conversation. The only problem was that this feature never worked if VoiceOver was on. They have now fixed this issue in iOS 8.2, so you can now have VoiceOver on, then turn on “do not disturb” for a specific text message conversation, and voila! VoiceOver will no longer read notifications for messages in that thread. I’m encouraged to see Apple finally making some accessibility improvements. But they still have a ways to go. There are roughly half a dozen more accessibility issues that I’ve reported to Apple, still present in iOS 8.2. -Paul
