It might just be a bug. My phone does ring most of the time, but sometimes it
doesn't.

For the iPhone 8, you hold the power button and the down volume and
keep them down for about five or six seconds to get the phone to restart.

I have an iPhone ate and holding down the home and power takes a
snapshot. Pressing the power and either volume button or both volume
buttons together brings up an option for emergency SOS. Should I look at
doing a soft reset in settings somewhere? Thanks Keith

Hi George,
I know a friend of mine had this issue with his iPhone X. He had to
do a soft reset. I don't know what the specific combination is for the
iPhone X to reset the phone. On older models, it was holding down the
power button and home button together for six seconds or holding down
the power button and the down volume button for six seconds. I believe
with the iPhone X, you can hold down the power button and either volume
button for six seconds to reset it.

I have done all that, and the majority of calls and message get heard.
I have looked closely at individual records and they are set to mostly
play defaults, but even changing these makes no difference.

Make sure your volume is up and reset your iPhone

Hello all.
Have anyone experienced something like the iPhone not ringing on some
phone calls?
My iPhone X is not ringing sometimes on phone calls and almost always
on notifications.
I already looked do not disturb and all of the sounds preferences.
I also brought it to apple store and their diagnostic was that
everything is fine.
Thanks a lot for any help on this.
Best Regards.
Lucas.
