[mac4theblind] in Itunes, some items are marked as ineligible

All,
I would like info on how to make songs eligible for ICloud which are not
currently.
according to itunes, the status means:
"The song isn’t eligible to be uploaded to your iCloud library. For example,
the song file might be larger than 200 MB, or encoded at 96 Kbps or less."
how can I change the encoding?
These are m4as ripped from cd using ITunes.
For the enthusiasts, it's an Crack the sky album which is available in itunes.
Help is greatly appreciated.
