a simple way to resolve this method is to change the wallpaper to something
very dark as a contrast perspective. we need to raise this with apple developer
team support.
all I can say is Jonathan Ive isn't exactly bright in the case of this UI
design change when it comes to supporting users with sight impairments. why
doesn't that surprise me until it affects him. Sorry to say this but this is
the problem with designers who concentrate on change of appearance of an OS
just for a different way of seeing things, they take it for granted that they,
who have perfect / near perfect vision can get away with the use of this
software and those with visual impairments are ignored and NOT CONSULTED.

as soon as I have my hands on an iphone 5C or 5S and iOS 7, I'll have it hooked
up with the developer kit, get some details out of it and give some solutions.

take care and I hope a solution comes through before I get to it.
