There is a lot of info out there for doing this, but to sum it up, the most important thing is to have a full backup of your Lion or Snow Leopard system just in case things go wrong. Preferably, a clone of your system disk. Once you are sure it is working, then do the clean install of Mountain Lion. Once you have it installed, migrate everything over during the setup assistant process. Take Care John D.
