Hello everyone,

In my experience while using Mavericks 10.9.2, turning cursor tracking off is
no longer necessary.
Caitlyn is correct that first, you need to interact with the list view.
However, where our strategies differ is in keyboard combination procedure.
Basically, just lock your Voiceover keys and when first selecting a file, you
will need to press “VO-command-enter” twice when adding the first file to the
selection because it is already selected by default, so performing this
keystroke will deselect the file.
Once this is done, just arrow down the list and with each file you wish to add
to the selection, press “command-enter,” until all files are added, then
disable the Voiceover key-lock feature, and press “command-C” to copy the items
to the clipboard.

Personally, I do not lock my Voiceover keys, but this is personal preference. I
just keep my Voiceover keys held down, as I arrow through the list, and add
“command-enter” to the keyboard combination when wanting to add a file to a
noncontiguous selection, then I release the Voiceover keys, and press
“command-C” to copy.

Hope this has been helpful.************
