I had terrible trouble with my mac Book Air until the most recent OsX update. Are you up to date with yours. I am currently experiencing dropout on my wi-fi on my iPhone 5s or at least I was last night. Now you have reminded me to reset my modem in case that is what is required. Why not turn your Modem on and off again and see if that hellps.
