Hi, you can use any number of media types for fusion. If you have a CD rom
available you can build images from CD, as you mention ISO files is another
route. You can use an ISO to build a new virtual image and that works very
well.
Next, once your VM is up you can install software right online like you
would anything else. Browse to the site or use the facility of your choice,
download and run the programs you’re interested in. You don’t need to mount an
ISO to install files. You can but you don’t have to.
Finally, don’t waste your time on mac antivirus unless you have some
aspect of your computing that’s not safe like you open a lot of attachments or
download a lot of code from non approved sites. If you’re a regular safe user
though, it’s not worth the CPU cycles.
