Subject: Science News in High Schools in New Hampshire
Hi,
The following note is for NH High School teachers. I am using Dawn Meredith's
email list, so I realize that some of you may not be high school teachers.
Please forgive me. But I hope some of you find this helpful.
Dick Feren
Dear High School Teachers,
We just got word of something you might want to take part in. There is a new
program that was launched this past year to provideScience News to high schools
around the country. A company has provided a generous sponsorship, and would
like to make it available to 4000 schools around the country. There are many
signing up, but to-date, only 6 schools from New Hampshire.
The outreach is being done through the Society for Science and the Public which
monitors the International Science and Engineering Fair, with which NH is
affiliated. School administrators, science teachers, librarians or anyone
else interested on behalf of a high school can learn more at
https://www.societyforscience.org/science-news-high-schools and can sign-up ;
directly at: https://member.societyforscience.org/science-news-in-hs-teachers. ;
Sign up now for Science News in High Schools and, at no cost to you or your
school, receive 10 hard copies of the biweekly magazine, free digital access
for the entire faculty and student population and a teacher guide that provides
questions, activities and links to the standards to support your classroom
learning.
Science News, published since 1922, provides an approachable overview from all
fields and applications of STEM. The magazine is written by a staff of
experienced science journalists, many with Ph.Ds in scientific disciplines.
