This an EXCELLENT pedagogy and evolved program, Modeling Instruction.
It is what most of us already do inherently, but is has been codified by the
physics education research community for a long time.
It was actually originally promulgated by a high school physics teacher, then
studied/researched and developed in tertiary education.

exemplary chemistry instruction.
