Thanks to Ed for mentioning the Suffolk University program, and a hearty
endorsement for Beyond Benign. Two of our Suffolk chemistry students will be
recognized this month for their work as Fellows in their high school outreach
program. They were able to develop project ideas, bring them to high schools,
and attend conferences to present their work, and are very enthusiastic about
their Beyond Benign experiences .

Thanks, Ed, for bringing this to my attention and for mentioning Gordon
College in your reply to the list. Just as an aside that might be
interesting to the high school folks on the list, Gordon College students
embark on outreach projects each spring where a group of several students
bring green chemistry lessons and activities to others. Frequently they do
this in high schools. Feel free to contact me privately if you would like
future green chemistry outreach teams to contact you for a visit to your
school.
Also, the Beyond Benign Foundation, in Wilmington, MA, is as world-class
organization that brings green chemistry curriculum into the K-12 classroom.
If your students are asking for green chemistry in college, it would
probably also really invigorate your classrooms in high school! The folks
from Beyond Benign are a fantastic resource and we're so lucky that they are
local to Massachusetts.
