As you may recall, this award includes a trip to Philadelphia for CHF’s Heritage Day, where a number of events will be happening and where your award will be presented, as well as a $5000 prize for your school’s science program provided by Dow Chemical Company. We’ve got some planning to do in the next couple of weeks so I want to get that started as quickly as possible. I want to confirm that you will be able to attend the awards ceremony and assorted merriment on Friday, April 8, 2011 at CHF in Philadelphia. We will provide travel expenses and one night accommodation for you and a chaperone. Please let me know also how you would prefer to travel. We would be happy to purchase train tickets or reimburse gas mileage, whatever works best for you. Since we will be starting the events on April 8 at 8:30 am (I’ll send you a detailed schedule soon), I would recommend coming into Philadelphia on the evening of Thursday, April 7. We will make sure to put you at a hotel that is within an easy distance of CHF. We’re located right in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district, just a couple of blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, so it’s a great place to stay. That’s enough to get us started. I look forward to hearing back from you soon to confirm details. Congratulations again and thank you for participating in the contest! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
