Good question!
I agree with Jan. There is wide variation with the python seat angle. Partly
it depends on the height above the pivot, which varies, and partly on what
the builder had on hand when that problem came up. I guess most builders use
the P3 as a sort of standard since that is the most clearly described of the
python designs. My seat angle was close to 30 degrees but now I am raising
the seat so it  may be less.
To measure I just use a short level and a protractor, but then I don't care
so much about the angle as long as it feels OK and I don't slip off the
seat! Maybe some room for adjustment would be good, as on a traditional
bike. I fiddle with the seat quite a bit on a new seat setup on my other
bikes, on the python not so much.
