There are also some good modellers available for linux afaik, but I find it somehow more fun using just an editor. I am still in a beginnerstage, but I have seen that at least some of the advanced users of povray also stay away from modellers. What I miss is a quick wireframe viewer. And camera placement should be done visual. That I also miss a little. But else, its cool: you have the possibility to name things, to define macros, functions, declaration. Its easy to change the frame just be changing a number. That I could not do with qcad. I had to draw things again. Jürgen: I have put it up on the page ( http://dirkb.dnsalias.net/python2.html ). You find a link there to a zip file. Normally you should just unzip it. Under linux I need to do following: cd python2 povray python2[rightside] +P which will read the python2.ini file, look at section "rightside", and the definitions there to parse the python2.pov file (which includes a bunch of other inc files also supplied in the zip). Good luck! :o) Dirk > ============================================================ This is the Python Mailinglist at freelists.org Listmaster: Jürgen Mages jmages@xxxxxx To unsubscribe send an empty mail to python-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field. ============================================================
