Last year, there was a report in the german recumbent forum about a guy who bought the varitrike:

Hi Paul,

I recalled they use very high quality components, serving as good reference for python builds.  The adjustable boom and rear cargo rack attachment are nice touches.

However, I am not entirely sure about the the arm crank set up for a delta trike in case of a forward skid off the trike.  See my crash test videos.  Don’t want any obstruction to face and crotch area :(

More power can be achieved by gripping the seat frame or pushing on knees which should be doable on a python trike.  I do vaguely feel more steering control and some weird sense of synchronization with my legs, slightly different from rowing.  Random arm motion is strong enough to interfere with steering...

Riding hands-free (slowly), I am often curious about what to do with them other than sun shading, cooling off :), signaling, picking up random stuff, and carrying cargo ... but not arm exercise (too lazy?).
