I plan to do a little more work on my Trailmate Funcycle, which is a variation of a python, but in trike version. I need to deal with the brakes (messed up!) and the stability which suffers due to a negative trail problem. Any advice I can get will help. I will probably cut the rear axle and raise it higher as well as bend the seat back to a lower angle, thus lowering the pivot angle. Probably will also try to change to a 5/6/7 speed 20 inch wheel for drive. It now sports a 3 x 7 drive wheel which works, but has difficulty with the 3 speed changer getting bashed by my ankle when pedaling. I like this little trike and want to make it work for me! It is certainly worth working on! If anyone is interested in them, the Trailmate Fun Cycle is a pretty good starting point for a Python trike. all the relevant bits are there. but as it comes it is a single speed. Nothing wrong with that honestly. but it needs some re-engineering to make it stable at much over 10-15 mph! Hi, I'm mark and I am a bikeaholic!
