Hi Pythonauts!
Two questions:
1. Has anyone used a Hollowtech crankset with a BB30 bottom bracket or
something similar for the pivot point yet?
Since it works with a hollow tube and compression like an ahead set it feels
more simple, stronger and easier to separate than the square tapered bearings.
Also it does not require a threaded shell as far as I can see.
2. Do you think it is possible to have a one-armed joint on both sides of the
pivot? Usually one frame side attaches the bearing shell and the other one is
U-shaped and attached to both sides of the bolt.
If you want to have a pivot that can be folded to 180 degrees the front- and
back tubes would collide - so what about doing the pivot in a Z-shape like on
the Snaix bike:

I guess the stress on the pivot is much stronger on a Python than for the
upright Snaix bike. But would it last?
