Thanks Jukka,
This is first known python in Finland. I just wanted to try this kind of a bike, so I built it as simple as i could. Front wheel is 26 inch with shimano 3 speed hub. Rear wheel is 28 inch. Frame tubing is 35x15x2, 50x50x1.5 and 30x30x1.5. Steering pivot is made piece of steel tube and two ballbearings. I have practiced now ten days and over 60 kilometers. I can ride it, but sometime bike goes side to side on road. So it's not very safe yet. After 100km and 3 months (it´s winter in here) I built removable hanldebars. Steering became easier. Weight with handlebars is 17kg. After 150km practicing and little frame modifications, I can ride to work and back. 16km/day, average speed 20-22km/h. I don't need handlebars to steer anymoore.
Great to hear, that you made the python your everyday bike. I guess the yellow arrow points to the place where you changed the frame. It seems that you shortened the wheelbase and made the pivot angle more shallow. The wooden seat seems to be for the real hard men.
Greetings from Jürgen.
I update my homepage english section: Riding experience and tchnical data. www.nojapyora.tk press "Python" word at bottom of the page.
