Criterium was being held the same day and it was vastly fun to see us
"ragged
people" rolling around among the skinsuit clad, lycra wearing buff dudes
on
spidery racing bikes. We ran mostly to sweatshirts and jeans on our
bikes.
Ha, this reminds me on a situation when I was on my way home
from the latest 200 km tour:
After 160 km I also met two lycra stylish racing bikers.
They looked down on me, sitting there with my jeans and all
the baggage that I carried with me. Then I kindly asked them for
the way and outran them with 38 km/h on my 20 bucks scrap python.
In the mirror I watched them 15 minutes fighting for catching me up,
but they did not make it ...
But after that show I was completely exploited and made the rest
of the way with 20 km/h or less.
