I met Laurent at the WC in Aalborg this week-end - and opposite me, he brought his Python (stupid me..). I had several testrides, and his bike is very easy to ride compared to mine - yesterday I was riding fast handsfree slalom in the schoolyard where the accomodation was - grinning franticly inside. I guess I have to heat up the torch again to make mine more rideable. One thing I noticed was that a bit of loosenes in the link is not an issue - something I tried to remove totally from my Python. The seat position and width might be something to copy - I felt a lot of control (but also a bit "folded"). Another difference is Laurent's link angle at 69 compared to my 65, but I also find Dirk's more controllable than mine - at 62.. Laurent raced his "triangle avant" with good results - how good I don't know, but he looked fast. I hope I will be able to attend the WC in France next year - they are planning a whole week of camping, holidays and rece in a nice hilly area.
