I am working (as supervisor) in a similar place. Although Erlangen is
a rather small town (300.000) we have a huge and very good
equipped public bicycle workshop here, including of thousands of
old bike parts.

An ideal place to develop a new bike design.

By the way: The ZOX recumbent of Sergio Gomez was developed
in exactly the same workshop where the python was born.
