Hoi Olaf, Attached a folded monty. Hope the collage is not misunderstandable.. There is one fold (upwards) just in front of the front wheel. The front folds upwards taking care of that nasty BB part. The tubes need to be adjusted so the wheel fits between them. You need a derailleur kind of gearing so the chain dioes not slack. One fold under the seat (sideways, under a negative 60degrees - i.e. opposite from the pivot). The rear wheel folds nicely away parallel to the front wheel by using the folding of the pivot and that one extra fold. It protects the chain between the two wheels. Smaller then a brompton. Easier to fold. ...well ok, nearly ;-) The seat is left out. But using the Jürgen seat it should be no problem either. Caveat: I just dreamed it up in a few minutes: I may have made one or two mistakes... ;-). But it demonstrates something: a recumbent like the python needs much less engineering effort to fold then a brompton as it is basically a stick going straight from rear wheel to BB. Is there hope for a monty 2.0?
