Hi Group,
In trying to listen to CB, and it somewhat worked, I had a tough time
hearing my CB radio over the Raspberry PI as some Wide Band FM bled through.
Now I know why they sell what they call a Ham It Up package.
This unit I listed below works well for UHF and VHF, but if you want to
listen to HF short wave stuff, there's a package I'll give a link to that
has the Ham It Up filter and balun included to filter out the commercial
radio signals that faintly come through.

It costs twice as much, and perhaps I'll get this one sometime, so this one

Well I don't think so, it identified my device as a realtech and on USB hub
0001 and the number 008, which is all paraphrasing the info, but it sounds
okay, but it just keeps going on putting out gibberish text, and no audio.
GQRX is sort of accessible, as I tab through the options, but from what I
can tell, it is not muted.
I looked in SDR Angel too, and there's nothing obviously wrong.
If anyone has an SDR Dongle, you could try the Vanilla SDR image I posted
recently.

Hi All,
I wonder if anyone here has had any luck either on the RPI or in Linux in
general using the CLI for SDR output.
I think the command
rtl_fm is a GRQX utility, and although it runs in the CLI for me, no audio
comes out, it only seems to be running by scrolling data.
But I tried it with my Nooelec SDR dongle plugged into my RPI using the
Vanilla-SDR image running with this command:
rtl_fm -f 162.550
which is my local frequency for NOAA weather.
If this would work on the RPI, it would be all I need for tuning a
frequency.
Thanks for any thoughts.
