Mike,
Thank you I'd forgotten how to get the script though the copy I have still
works pretty well from quite sometime ago that you wrote.
I assume then that this is where you plan to update the script when you're
finished with the mate version of it or add a mate version of it.
Again thank you Mike, Great job with the latest round of activity and best of
luck with whatever you set your hand to now and in the near future and in the
days to come (Pi or otherwise).

Greg,
You'll find a script that creates an Arch Linux from scratch by getting
my rpi-stuff git repo:
git clone http://github.com/cromarty/rpi-stuff.git
And then it's in rpi-stuff/make-rpi-arch.
It just creates a very basic image though, it has no desktop installed
at that point.
With no modification the script will create an image with the hostname
of alarmpi.
User name is alarm and password is alarm.
Root has no password ootb.
Usage:
sudo ./make-rpi-arch.sh architecture
Where architecture is either armv6 or armv7.
It creates an image called:
ArchLinuxARM-yyyymmdd.architecture.img
Where yyyymmdd is the year, month and day, and architecture is either
armv6 or armv7, the argument which was passed to the script.

Yuu've certainly been busy and productive.
I for one will be interested to see what the arch script looks like as I
have tried putting makes on arch with no real success with speech both on
the amd64 platform and the pie three recently.
Even with more insight given from your Jesse light article than what I had
found previously on the net with my AMD 64 attempt I'm still having little
success on the pie three so I'm very interested in seeing how things go
together.
Are you planning on putting the arch script inside of your projects
repository I noticed that it's not currently residing there
I have an old copy I think you're given me from quite some time back just
wasn't sure where you were going to be putting this and the new scrips
weather be in the general projects repository or on the downloads page or
somewhere else or...
In any case best of luck with completing it and with the rest of what you
set your hand too and again thanks for all the hard work and the sharing

Hello folks,
I'm about 90% of the way to having scripts written that generate an Arch
image and then install the Mate desktop and console audio.
After that I will turn back to having a go at LXDE on both Raspbian and
Arch.
