I don't know if that will work or not. But at least it will get you in the
general area.
Maybe someone else can give you better suggestions.

Hi Jessica,
I finally went back and tinkered with Stormux on the PI 4 again.
And lo and behold it did have speech on the desktop.
I was very happy about that. It turns out I just did not wait long enough
before hitting a key to make it talk. How silly of me.
I am thinking of overclocking the pi 4 to make everything a little faster.
But now I have bad news. I was playing around in the Orca settings and
accidentally changed my synthesizer and lost speech again. Sigh!
Now lol I gotta find some eyeballs to help me turn this speech back on.
I have an old tv with HDMI that I can use.
In this lies the challenge with Linux there are no direct and good user guides
you always have to flounder around like a fish out of water.
Yeah I know I am a spoiled windows user.
Well, wish me luck here I go again!
