Hey guys,
So I just got a USB sound card with audio jacks that I bought off Amazon.
This was what someone recommended (somewhere on the web, I forget where) as
a solution to certain sound problems with the Pi. In my case, Orca doesn't
speak and sounds play very badly (most of the time it's just a low staticky
buzz). Of course, the USB sound card did not fix the problem, so here I am
(lol).
I thought I read something on this list a long time ago about a broken ALSA
driver on Raspbian. I've done enough research at this point to know what
ALSA is, and of course a broken driver would explain why the audio would be
bad to nonexistent. Any info on troubleshooting audio on the Pi would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
PS: Thanks also to those of you who answered my last questions about
breadboards and the Arduino - Sorry it had nothing to do with the Pi. :)
