Hi all,
I upgraded to the January 11 release of Raspbian on my new 8GB raspberry pi.
I tried everything I knew to get orca running. I wanted to go with the
default desktop to test the new pi accessibility experience. I had a
powered speaker connected to the 3.5MM jack.
Glen, I had initially said that use raspi-config to configure the sound to
come out of the 3.5MM jack. I tried this but that did not work.
The answer has 2 parts.
1. To boot into the GUI desktop without a monitor connected, install a dummy
display driver and create the appropriate configuration file.
2. Disable HDMI by enabling composite mode to force sound via the 3.5MM
jack.
